The Forest Theater Guild (FTG), Carmel-by-the-Sea's community-based theater group, is returning to its historic roots by focusing on producing locally written plays and casting local talent. Reminiscent of the original ideals of founder Herbert Heron, who built the Forest Theater in 1910, the guild has selected a locally written play, Pirate Booty, written by Carmel local Todd Weaver, as the opening production for the 2017 theater season. In keeping with those local ideals, Mr. Weaver intends to audition all the roles, calling on the area's plethora of talented child and adult actors and performers to audition November 18th and 20th.
