 Young people in 2nd through 12th grades are invited to be part of Outreach Week at Sherwood Hall. ARIEL Theatrical’s production of Disney’s The Lion King, Jr. is based on the Broadway musical and the 1994 animated film. The colorful cast of characters will embark on an epic adventure through the African landscape as they bring the powerful story of young Simba to life. This production will be featured during a week of day-time performances (10) that are exclusively for Monterey County students, teachers and administrators. Rehearsals begin January 12 and performances will be March 11-14.

Adapted from Norton Juster’s beloved children’s book, this riveting musical features a melodious score by Arnold Black and lyrics by Pulitzer Prize and three-time Tony-winner, Sheldon Harnick. Young people, ages 6-18, will tell the story of Milo, Tock, Princesses Rhyme and Reason and others from the distant Land of Wisdom as they discover that in the quest for knowledge everything has a purpose.  

Rehearsals begin Tuesday, February 26 and performances are on April 5, 6, 12 & 13.

Receive the AA-Transfer degree in Theatre Arts.
Earn certificates and AA degrees in Acting, Directing and Technical theatre.
